Our Story At Ekati Joy
Drawing, painting, calligraphy, and design are just a few of my favorite things to do in my free time. I have always loved the idea of starting a small business and having the ability to do a hobby and make it a business venture was a win win for me. The clothing that you will browse through on this website are products of my imagination and boredom alike.
Creating a business has made for many fun and learning moments. I now better understand how to build a website, create quality products, and market by brand to the world.
I hope you enjoy looking at the products and maybe it will even inspire you to step out and create a small business of your own! Happy shopping!

The Timeline of Ekati Joy
November 2022
I got sick with what I thought was a stomach bug and after a few weeks when I realized this was something more, I scheduled an appointment with my family doctor. After this visit I decided to go to a natural medicine specialist and he put me on a plan to help balance some of my levels and fix, what he decided from various tests, was an infection or overgrowth in my gut.
After a few months of sticking to a stringent diet and taking many pills and tincures, I was feeling a lot better and not longer laying around on the couch all day.
My energy continued to be very low and I would have spells of stomach pain often. Due to this I did not work at all in the summer of 2023.
Summer 2023
I launched Ekati Joy that summer in hopes of earning some income from home over this spell of not being able to work. I started out by learning to sew (a long and daunting process) and making scrunchies, headbands, and dresses.
Soon afterwards I branched out into custom designing clothing that could be printed and shipped out of a warehouse instead of my own home.
March 2024
My business to this point had not taken off and so I started slowly working a few days at my old job again. The summer of 2024 went relatively well and my boss graciously allowed me to have off whenever I needed it. (which was often).
Fall 2024
At this point I realized that though my health had gotten better to a point, I was still struggling with various things that do not lend themselves to a “normal” life. These things ranged from stomach issues, anxiety, extreme lack of energy, headaches, and more.
October 2024
I decided to get a second opinion from another natural doctor and through various testing he changed up my supplement protocol and added some new things.
Present
I am still working towards the longterm goal of feeling like my old self again. Healing the body inside out, one step at a time, takes a lot of time and patience. While I work on my health I am continuing to work at a local farmers market as I can.
I had pretty much decided to give up Ekati Joy when a series of events allowed me to try my hand at designing again. With renewed energy I created some new designs and we will see what happens!
Thank you so much for visiting my site and being interested in my story. -Katara Nolt
