Face Wash Recipes

16 Natural DIY Skin Care Recipes DSC 0454

Washing Your face is something you should do everyday. Consistently washing your face makes it less oily and less prone to acne.

Many of the products on the store shelves have ingredients that are not kind to your skin. When you make your own face wash mixes, you can be sure every ingredient is safe and kind to skin.

When shopping for face washes look out for these harmful ingredients: sodium lauryl sulfate, ammonium lauryl sulfate, and sodium laureth sulfate. Also look out for: Parabens, Phthalates, Fragrance, Formaldehyde, Phenoxyethanol, Alcohols, and PEG.

For more information on why these things are bad, read here.

“16 Natural DIY Skin Care Recipes” has your back with 4 amazing natural face washes.

These face scrubs should be used once or twice a week. Using face scrubs too much can dry out your skin so figure out a good skin care routine for your skin and use a face scrub once or twice a week.

Face masks are great for keeping your skin balanced and clean. Most face masks should be used only once or twice a week. Lots of face masks seen on store shelves have harmful ingredients like: Parabens, Phthalates, Fragrance, Formaldehyde, Phenoxyethanol, Alcohols, and PEG.

Letting these harsh ingredients soak into your skin can actually cause more skin problems like acne and irritated skin. These face mask recipes are free from all chemicals and harmful ingredients. These masks are made with simple, natural ingredients found in your own kitchen!

1. Simple Manuka Honey Mask

Manuka Honey. Apply a thin layer on your face and leave it on for 15 minutes. Rinse gently with warm water. For this recipe, any kind of natural honey will work. Make sure it is natural honey so you are getting only benefits and not soaking in any artificial sweeteners or colors.

When using turmeric, note that it WILL stain your skin yellow! This can be taken off by applying Coconut Oil as a moisturizer. Soak a cotton ball in Coconut Oil and rub it around on your face. This might not get all of it off the first day, but by the second day it should be completely gone.

Turmeric is great for clearing up acne scarring. Cinnamon helps prevent more acne and evens out your skin texture. Honey also reduces acne scarring and it naturally hydrates your face.
